Profile:

Jerry Ding is a computer engineering student at Carnegie Mellon University. He often works on strange personal projects - his past projects include a multiplayer time travel game, a tool to randomly display vocabulary words every ten minutes, and a evolution simulator for a group of creatures that, among other things, can flirt with one another. He also self-studies machine learning while having delusions of one day creating an artificial general intelligence truly capable of independent thought.

Strangely enough, he occasionally moves beyond his world of programs and computers to study a model world filled with generic sentient beings. He may have spent an unhealthy amount of time tweaking the front-end code of his web page The Proficiologist, but he definitely tries even harder to put his ideas into words and invite other people to his research into the model world.
